My wife and I love Halloween and each year we try to come up with new theme for decorating our house. Last year we did Monty Python and the Holy Grail. And the year before it was Harry Potter. For next Halloween, we thought it would be great to convert our house to look like a Pirate Ship, complete with cannon ports, sails, flags, fog, and a dock!
The first step is to create a visual conception on how the house would look. First, I took a picture of the house. Then using Photoshop, I added the elements such as the mist, skeletons, and gun ports from an actual rigged sailing ship. This gives me a general layout on how I visualize the scene. I know this will be a lot of work, especially the gun ports (I am not sure how I am going to create these!), but I am counting on it to being a fun project.
